5 weeks ago I've visited Kopaczow-Oldrichov. To 1945 it was typical german
village.
1945 it was divided between Poland and CR (Ceska Respublika, 1948 CSR- Cesko
Slovenska Respublika,
1961 CSSR-Cesko Slovenska Sozialisticka Respublika, 1994 CR).
Border divided village in two parts. Now are two villages: Kopaczow (PL) -
Oldrichow na Hranicich
(now CZ) near TP CZ/D/PL.
The german name is Großullersdorf.
Since 1945 the Border beetwen Kopaczow and Oldrichov is closed. The Border
is a little brook and the old main street through the village.
1945 the germans must to leave you village. To Kopaczow came refugees from
Ukrain/USSR and to Oldrichov from Bulgarian.
Oldrichov is today a part of the town Hradek nad Nisou.
Nobody, want travel from Kopaczow to Oldrichov or from Oldrichov to
Kopaczow.
The peoples do not talk with one another across the border.
The Border is strong guard.
