Many years ago I remember I saw an article in Lietuvos rytas explaining
something about two Lithuanian exclaves/enclaves. One exclave was the well
known Pagiriai exlave at the town of Salcininkai.

Today I refound the second in Varena region. If I understand it correct this
exclave was a property of Varena region in Byelorussia, but never a
Lithuanian territory. Anyhow it was drawn into some Lithuanian maps by a
mistake, as on this map which still is used on the official Internet page of
Varena municipality. This map is the old one before the demarcation of the
BYLT border. On the left is the 2002 GIS map of the new demarcated boundary.
