& hope the europeans will wake up in time to break the record

so anyway
just to finish up from here
as our grand finale on ellis island
we had to line up for the recessional to the ferry & then proceed
toward it along with several hundreds of other people all about 4
abreast
yet precisely along the last 2 metes of the state line leading back
to the point of origin we had just marked & obliterated

indeed the throng of departing visitors faithfully followed the
invisible state line around its final turn & straightaway with us
who alone had the eyes to see it & the devotion to celebrate it
as perfectly as any marching honor guard could ever have led
&or followed us right down the middle of broadway
