the extremities of the french polynesia group are indeed farther
from paris than the extremities of the wallis & futuna group

but the extremities of the new caledonia group are farther still

the southeasternmost of these
possibly named ile ami
comes in at about 9090 nautical miles from paris
& is the apparent global dry land winner

however hunter island
some distance farther east from there
tho coming in at fully 9133 nautical miles from paris
gets an asterisk because it is also claimed by vanuatu

& add a dozen more nautical miles to each of those numbers
to get to the outer limits of the territorial sea
for the plain wet & asterisked wet versions respectively
of the absolutely farthest known point from its national capital

> In addition, Pitcairn Island might also be further from London

not even close
