To vote in Texas you must be registered, but registration is quick and easy.
To register you must be a U.S. citizen and a resident of the state and county, and you must be age 18 (or 17 years and 10 months if you will be 18 by election day.)
You can register in person or by mail. The registration deadline is 30 days before any election.
To register in person, go to the office of the Election Administrator in Suite B of the Old Maverick County Courthouse at 501 East Main Street in downtown Eagle Pass.
PLEASE NOTE: Texans do not register by political party. There is a cycle of party primary elections in each even-numbered year. You choose your party affiliation by voting in a primary election of the party of your choice. You may vote in the primary elections of only one party in each primary election year. Party affiliation expires at the end of each primary election year, and you get to choose anew in the next one.
