Yes Mark, you're right (again) in principle - but
France and Spain do have a few crossings close
to the Mediterranean where the topography looks
like the one on the picture - much more "flat"
than in the proper Pyrenees - some years ago I
crossed this border at a place called Puigcerda/Sp
Bourg Madame/Fr - actually a few miles from
the Spanish enclave of Llivia (very interesting
place indeed) ... my guess is still Spain...
