thanx pete & i certainly agree with you & the dolphins
for the play is the thing here too
& you know i am only in this for the fun of it
& wouldnt deign to slow you or anyone down for less than a good time

but this is an embarrassment of riches
for we have both your own firsthand account & gideon here too

so i have to wonder
could it be we are both facing the same mountain & tp but from different sides

indeed your 50km difference might be just right for this to work out

& gideon says the austria italy boundary runs to the tp with slovenia at
patzen or pec peak on mount forno or ofen at 4948ft or 1509m

elsewhere he says the austria slovenia boundary begins at this same peak
but gives its elevation differently as 4599ft or 1509m

in a third place he reports the italy slovenia boundary begins at this same
peak tho he spells it petzen here & gives the elev a third way as 4559ft or
1509m

& finally in his list of boundary junction mountain peaks in the back
matter he counts this tp once as petzen or pec peak & once again as forno
or ofen

it may help to know also that the actual conversion of 1509m
which i suspect may be the only correct altitude he gives for this tp
if indeed any of them is correct & therefore useful for corroboration by
topo &or altimeter
is more like 4951 or 4952ft

also this may well be another case like atchde where we really should seek
the higher authority of the relevant regional bible in any case

for now i grant one of us could be wrong
but the beauty of it is we neednt think so
