our recent messages about great circle boundaries
as well as our first crossover au grand tour into the southern hemisphere
for arbrpa & iguazu
have drawn my own focus persistently back to the equator
the preeminent natural boundary line & unique eastwest great full circle in
the world
it is also a perfect opportunity to expand the
great roundup of circle boundaries in the united states
to embrace the world at large
& to apologize to our nonamerican members for my personal fixation on the
united states
& to our american members for my even greater fixation on the world class
upon the equator in any case
a scouring of the perry castaneda map library has turned up but a single
prospective & as yet indistinct & unconfirmed candidate great circle route
boundary segment
a wet sector slotted as it happens like a card between the upper fingers
of the celebes & situated entirely within the gulf of tomini
where it serves as a second order boundary between the indonesian divisions
of sulawesi utara & sulawesi tengah
but in addition i have not yet been able to find a subdivisional map of
gabon anywhere
so my panequatorial survey try remains for now slightly inexhaustive as
well as slightly out of date & slightly vague about its own finest happy
hour
nevertheless i could not wait to report & to request any possible check or
exhaustion of this quest
especially to &or from you arif &or any available ozzies kiwis etc
for what may prove to be not only a geographical rarity
but actually unique
or even just possibly nothing at all
oops
yes i guess it is possible even to be searching for nothing at all
i once even found it near idmtwy
but that is another tale
hey
grease that man & throw him in the water
immersed yet buoyant & bubbly too
