Well, I was strongly influenced by the fact that the other
projections are west of the northeast corner of NJ. This is the case
according to close measurement on my Topo! CD-ROM and is verified in
the field. I think some of the rocks shown on the map are submerged
at high tide, which is when I was there evidently. I don't know what
the tidal range is here, but maybe a foot.

By the way, does your voucher imply that you have been to this spot
and, if so, did you have any luck finding Station Rock?
