correction

it now appears we may already have a winner

i couldnt beam davids map up on my primitive computer but
after studying the mapquest serving for basel i think you probably have a
winning picture here rob

i am still only guessing but
the beautiful monument in the photo would appear to stand at the north end
of westquaistrasse
so the tripoint would appear to lie about 250m due north of there
or just about where the water edge meets the left side of the foto
yet hopefully within the frame

a distant sighting but still probably the first photo received of the point

if someone cwould confirm this guess
checking geocoordinates from a good map
& doing whatever else anyone thinks is necessary
i will be happy to mail you your prize
the dollar equiv today of a mark plus both francs

whatever the outcome
many thanxxx
m
