grant
on further reflection
now that i realize what you can do
& while some of my earlier reflections are still missing in the ether
i believe our try pointing expedition to the most cardinally extreme
palindromic placenames in the world
whether pursued only once around the compass for the unqualified
palindromic places such as qaanaaq
or pursued once around again so as to include the qualified ones such as
udu peninsula
or yet again & again so as to encompass still other criteria
will have to be sharply defined & delineated from the start
& particularly so if our solutions are to embody any real degree of
homogeneity & comprehensiveness
& thus something resembling credibility

& i also believe our try may even in the best of cases never be
definitively concluded
but must remain subject to improvement by constantly evolving data

nevertheless
if there are geonet downloadable files for every country
& if you can access them all so easily as you have begun to do
then we can at least make a somewhat homogeneous & somewhat comprehensive
beginning
or in other words a first serious or better yet a first credible try
since i trust we are only relatively serious in this endeavor
aiming at a full palindromic news tour or two embracing at least all the
land area features of the world as indicated in this geonet or some other
standard format
even if not admitting pals found in any nonstandard formats
& even if also not admitting the oceanic area features
& possibly also missing some other as yet unknown blank or blind spots

so allowing for all those & possibly other weaknesses &or disclaimers
yet within all these also still fairly impressive parameters
& deliberately ignoring without regret all the many possible subvariants
like what if some weird stuff like the real town of adanac canada or the
fictitious town of tuva nunavut or an imaginary underwater feature named
egdirt ridge or whatever you will believe possible or even some other such
freak happenchance you would not believe possible could actually be spotted
or even teased into reality somewhere north of qaanaaq
then where would we be
etc etc etc
nevertheless we could still move forward with some confidence of a
reasonably satisfactory preliminary outcome if you are able to simply
continue the processes you have begun by now extending them to all
directional extremes in both of the common modes we have clearly identied
for what i imagine you could do in this way is already far more nearly
definitive than anything i could possibly come up with

in the past all such pal spotting has traditionally been done by human eyes
& has been limited to whatever atlases etc were available to the spotters

so it is a whole new ballgame & possibility you have created here
