i was mistaken last month to conclude that the easterly akwesasne mohawk<br/>
tripoint twin  akcause  falls where pike creek crosses the canadian<br/>
american boundary<br/>
for this map indicates instead that akcause is coincident with ibc monument 760<br/>
  on the east shoulder of chapman road<br/>
    about 3500 feet west of pike creek<br/>

indeed this is the very monument on which you may recall i ceremoniously<br/>
stashed my contraband<br/>
as reported in message 223<br/>

so i must have been even more at cause here than previously imagined<br/>
<br/>

whether i actually touched the tip of the obelisk i cannot now recall in truth<br/>
but i was certainly within 2 or 3 horizontal inches of such precision<br/>
& the visit was all the more remarkable for occurring purely by dumb luck<br/>
<br/>

so if the usgs is correct  as i now believe<br/>
then my class d visit to akcause is upgraded to  class a or b  at least<br/>
  & perhaps even beyond a normal class a<br/>
    to an unknown & unprecedented rank<br/>
  in view of the stunning coincidence<br/>

in any case i am moving the akcause gold dot accordingly<br/>
in my mind at least<br/>
to its most likely correct position at<br/>
north lat 44d 59m 55s 84h &<br/>
west long 74d 33m 31s 24h<br/>
