I have never understood this fascination about the year 0. That is illogical
thinking. Look at your Thermometer. Yes there is a 0 where - and + meet. 0
is simply nothing, just a meeting point. The distance from 0 to +1 is the
same as from 0 to -1. The 1st degree is reached when the meter fills up the
space from 0 to + or - 1.

This is simply the same with the calendar.

On the other hand why did the business community not think of this. This was
a opportunity to celebrate for at least one even two full years. Celebrate
the year 2000 as the last of the 20th (take note 20th century), then big
celebration when the 20th and 21st century met and finally celebrate the
first full year of the 21 century he year 2001.

I hope that the business and community leaders remember this in the year 2100
and 2101. If I am still around I will definitely participate!! Two years
around 730 days celebration is something to look forward to rather than a
hype of 2 hours!!!
