<div id="ygrps-yiv-617409553">As you know, it has always been BoundaryPoint&#39;s intent to keep <br/>
membership and posting privileges as open as possible.  Within the <br/>
past month or so however, two unrelated commercial &quot;spam&quot; messages <br/>
have been posted to the group.  In reponse, I have &quot;banned&quot; the <br/>
associated e-mail addresses.  However, that in itself is probably not <br/>
an efective spam-prevention remedy, as open posting privileges have <br/>
up until now been available regardless of BP memebership status.  In <br/>
a further effort to eliminate spam messages, posting privileges have <br/>
been changed from &quot;Anyone can post&quot; to &quot;Members only&quot;.  At present, <br/>
anyone can become a member of BoundaryPoint; hopefully more dramatic <br/>
steps (such as restricted membership and moderated posts) will be <br/>
unnecessary.  Personally, I hope that no further action will be <br/>
necessary to prevent unrelated spam messages.  Please feel free to <br/>
let me know how you feel about this...your comments are important and <br/>
most welcome.<br/>
