The second series of three starts with the border crossing between Roth
an der Our (D) and Vianden (L). The boundary marker next to the
Luxembourg shield is no. 21. The boundary crosses the road here at
right-angles or close to it, then turns to the north and follows the
right edge of the road for a couple of metres, up to boundary marker
no. 22, which is just visible. After that, the boundary turns away from
the road.

The second picture is that of boundary marker no. 47 between Vianden
and Bivels. It can be reached, but not without difficulty, via a small
opening in the shrubs next to the western head of the bridge across the
Vianden reservoir. It marks the start of the condominium to the north,
after it has been interrupted by the Vianden area. The bridge misses
this point by no more than 2 to 3 metres.

The third is the point where the Sauer reaches the Moselle. The
boundary marker in the foreground bears the no. 10, and stands in
Oberbillig (D). On the other side of the Moselle, to the right is
Wasserbilligerbrueck (D), to the left Wasserbillig (L). At the left
edge of the picture a big map of the country of Luxembourg can be seen.
We travelled from Wasserbillig to Oberbillig on a tiny (but
international!) ferry (no more than four cars at a time), that reaches
shore some 50 metres to the left of this picture.

The boundary markers along the delu condominium have no other than an
indicative function; the real boundary is at the edge of the water. You
can see this on bridges: at the bridgehead there is a boundary marker,
but further on, where the bridge crosses the edge of the water, there
is a little shield that is really on the boundary.
