Attached are three photos of the narrow nech between Roetgen enclaves 1 and
2. They join up if you cut and paste them.
I am standing on the railline where it is part of Belgium proper, ie between
the 2 German enclaves, looking north. On the left (west) the street is the
southern end of the Roetgen 1 enclave, German, until the traffic island with
shrubs where the road curves to cross the rails. The buildings on the far
left are Belgian, and sell cigarettes, coffe etc.
On the right, Germany proper starts at the side road paralleling the railway
in the background, and follows the wooden fence in the right foreground.
