Very interesting Doug! While not a documentary, this reminded me of a syndicated western series called "Bordertown" which was about a fictional old west town split by the 49th parallel. I think it was produced in Canada. I remember being somewhat disappointed in it in that the plots had little to do with actual border-related issues. Anyway, it will be great to see what comes out of this.

However, the lead of the pencil was thich enough that the line completely covered the dot marking the town. And, the location of the town has been in dispute ever since. Has anyone heard this story?
