bp bp bithday party special
from the road runners
beep beep

we made adobe pass ok on nv hwy 225 but couldnt eat the whole road &
chickened out of crossing the wild horse range
so couldnt make our projected nv score of 1774

but we found chicken creek pass on nv hwy 226 instead
& after swallowing that entire hwy & an additional 40 miles of dust
we reached idaho with a nevada score of 1775

then tried the first hot sawanabori possibly in history
on hot creek into bruneau canyon
expecting a bath rather than a drink at the end
but it was just a good misguided hot dry hike
as usual with insufficient maps

today we explored the 1 large & 2 tiny fragments of oregon east of the snake
river

the western boundary of idaho is much like that of papua
with a riverine sector between 2 meridional lines

here the snake is the fly
but unlike the fly it snakes both east & west of the survey lines

one anomalous result is these 3 frags

but just like the survey sectors of the papua west boundary
the survey sectors of the idaho west boundary are also very close in
latitude yet actually unrelated to each other

about this
bus&ss pp153ffff are interesting

we tried to find the initial point of the 1868 survey which ultimately
terminated at the idnvor tristate point

this tp which we visited earlier is the remotest & possibly most daunting of
the dry tristates
at 62 miles off the pavement mostly by jeep track
& us without 4wheel drive

but that was a few years ago

this time we found many traces of the idor survey line
evidently in a state of advanced benign neglect
including the usual fences & an unusually well placed flagpole
but nary a monument this side of idnvor

anyway
its time to hit the road again

so until that time
