Many boundaries (especially those defined by watersheds or ridgelines) <br/>
are fractal - so, like coastlines, their measured length would depend <br/>
on the resolution at which they were measured.<br/>
I guess there&#39;s also the possibility that the same border would vary <br/>
with time, without any change in the defining treaty - shifting <br/>
thalwegs, for instance.<br/>
