The Bounty islands were named for the ship of Bligh fame, not for their
insular abundancy. They are a bird sanctuary. Permission is needed to land,
and sometimes there are expensive yacht tours to the sub-antarctic, but you
need quite a strong stomach as the seas can be rough down there.
