RE: [BoundaryPoint] Vermont Circumnavigation

Brian,
I think I know which island and peninsula you are talking about.  The peninsula, by official definition, is another pene-exclave--one of several--along the US-Canada border.

Subject: [BoundaryPoint] Vermont Circumnavigation

Strange that the topic of Derby Line came up recently.  I am planning
a "circumnavigation" of Vermont in the next few weeks to try out some
camping gear and an inflatable boat in preparation for a more
ambitious pointing adventure later in the summer.  I am planning to
check out Derby Line, plus an island and a peninsula that are
bisected by the boundary, both with monuments according to the topo
map.  Also plan to reach the wet New York - Ontario - Vermont tri-
point in Lake Champlain.

By the way, Peter, you mentioned Estcourt Station, Maine.  Here is a
link to my photos of that place, taken last summer:

There is not much else to see in Estcourt Station, but if you are in
the area, you can visit the Maine - New Brunswick - Québec tri-point,
shown in the following link:
