The "true" DEMDPA tri-point monument says P-P-M-M-1849 and has a disk on top saying "MDP" and showing an arrow pointing toward the "MDP" monument.  The MDP monument is a hundred feet or so north of the tri-point.  It has no inscriptions on its sides but does have a disk on top showing a triangle and "MDP".  This combination of monuments and inscriptions can easily lead to confusion and wrong conclusions but the Delaware Geological Survey web sire makes it clear that the PPMM monument is the tri-point.

visited the jeddito navajo clave in hopiland
  all set within greater navajoland
& found this little pocket affluent both by hopi & normal navajo standards
but all of the above were like us absolutely unconcerned about the hour of day

our first camping & loitering bust was by a hopi cop wearing an american flag emblem
just when our 305k mile engine failed to climb first mesa

when he told us we were next to a shrine
we first noticed the anasazi ruin across the road
& we were glad when he suggested we spend the night as the guests of the tribe
under the tree in second mesa

so a recognizable theme has developed
finding & scrambling over the low mountain passes

this is good tho
as we have seen all the high ones
& the low ones are generally the most historic

funny how mishaps may always improve things

a warm & timely wecome to dallen our new arizona member too
even as we are headed north for the heat wave

& grant
you are not plowing alone out there at 200nm

& tho i know there is no lack of kibbitzers
i must say isla san andres really is there
another island that once saved my life

& special to brian
are you sure the 1849 demdpa rock doesnt say mdp on the disc or somewhere
cause thats the one  i was inspired to pee on

i didnt realize the true mdp stone was even there til much later
