about it and then I read something about it in the local newspaper.  <br/>
It is a pretty nifty site.<br/>

For better map quality and speed I still prefer the Topo! CD-ROM <br/>
product, but it is not free.  It&#39;s $49 for a CD-ROM covering <br/>
approximately one New England state and nationwide coverage is not <br/>
available because it primarily addresses the recreation market.<br/>

I notice that a Canadian company has bought Maps a la Carte, the <br/>
company that runs topozone.  I wish they would add the Canadian topo <br/>
maps, but this appears unlikely.  Canadian maps are copyrighted by <br/>
Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada, unlike the US topo maps <br/>
which are in the public domain.</div>
