since central african republic cf precedes chad td &
congo cg in english
this next tripoint is located in the river sangha
presumably at the thalweg
according to brownlie
just upstream from the village of bomassa congo
http://encarta.msn.com/encnet/features/mapcenter/map.aspx?TextLatitude=39.45&TextLongitude=-98.907&TextAltitude=0&TextSelectedEntity=39070&SearchEnc=false&MapStyle=Comprehensive&MapSize=Large&MapStyleSelectedIndex=0&searchTextMap=bomassa&MapStylesList=Comprehensive&ZoomOnMapClickCheck=on

the tripoint may involve a flood zone &or other local
complication
& based on an inconsistent french colonial
administrative trijunction
it is situated at approx
n lat 2d 13m 20s
e long 16d 11m 30s
but just as with the previous tripoint
cfcmtd
this positioning is also based on administrative map
evidence only
since none of the 3 convergent boundaries was
demarcated here either

nevertheless the attached tripoint stretching diagram
does at least endeavor to locate the above estimated
position
while acknowledging that both the google earth line
overlay position & the borderbase pushpin position are
about equally likely in this case
since we are all within a few seconds or a few hundred
feet of each others guesses here anyway

in fact judging from the above encarta depiction at
tightest zoom level
google earth is looking better than borderbase or the
tripoint stretcher in this rare case
i mean
if you can trust encarta any more than any of us
others
