a reasonably good companion has finally been found for the checkerboard<br/>
reservation in palm springs<br/>
<br/>
this new one is the torres martinez reservation<br/>
located around the northern end of the salton sea<br/>
<br/>
it is also inhabited by cahuilla indians<br/>
near relatives & neighbors of the agua caliente band<br/>
<br/>
  hence the similarity in design<br/>
<br/>
<br/>
    er<br/>
    just joking about that artistic connection<br/>
    as it was probably u s grant at work again<br/>
<br/>
<br/>
torres martinez comprises a major chain plus 2 small exclave chains<br/>
  which together produce 43 boundary crosses<br/>
plus 9 other fully exclaved nonchains<br/>
  for a total of a dozen fully separated chunks<br/>
    which is in itself a possible record among the reservations<br/>
<br/>
art to follow<br/>

some small inaccuracies just discovered in my agua caliente art have<br/>
slightly reduced the number of boundary crosses there<br/>
