Sorry about still not adding Switzerland local
enclaves in my web page. The Swiss enclaves are
pretty fascinating. Kloster Grimmenstein is the
smallest enclave I have been able to find, so I think
Peter is right. It is an enclave of one half-canton
in another, but the half-cantons are generally
included with cantons as a first-level area. A web
page I printed out, now defunct, had the area of
Kloster Grimmenstein as .18 ha, I believe. There is
oddly another tiny enclave of AI in AR. Kloster
Wonnenstein is .40 ha. Smallest enclave of one canton
in another is Kloster Fahr of Aargau between Zurich.
You should check out my link pages for maps of Swiss
enclaves. The swissgeo, Geneva, Aargau and Vaud web
atlases will give you good maps if you know where the
enclaves are. I also have a 1:500 map of Kloster
Grimmenstein and 1:3000 map of Kloster Fahr
photocopied from books. I don't remember the exact
titles, but the copies are from a book on AI-AR
boundaries and a book on art in monasteries of Aargau
respectively.
