the second thursday of the chdefr tlingit was spent in blissful approach of
ca2crnbnss at a point situated in one of the far reaches of the bay of fundy

here the greatest tidal differences in the world advertised yet rarely
achieved at 16m or 53ft actually do approach 14m or 46ft twice daily

& this is just the vertical description

for a try pointer seeking the junction of the low tide line with the thread
of the missagouache river each vertical meter can translate into a kilometer
or more of horizontal distance amidst these vast chocolate tidal flats

not only that but we find we are 4 days early for the lowest low tide of the
month a full meter & a half lower than todays but with no time available to
lay over here

stuill we do the best we can

a govt map appears to give the position of the tripoint at the head of
cumberland basin about halfway between fort beausejour & the head of minudie
marsh opposite

our first class d photo attempt from beausejour without benefit of this
knowledge probably misses the true point in favor of the visible mouth of
the missagouache but our second photo is centered on this probably correct
point in the middle of the cumberland basin

our attempts to reach the present mouth of the river from three directions
close in to about 300 meters of mudslick but a future try at the perfect
time of month with a truly definitive map & a canoe & gps seems really to be
what is indicated for this point

sending out for chinese
