a second try on thursday at the crown waters newfoundland&labrador quebec
south tripoint was closely attended by 3 bounding leviathans but our photo
proved to have been aimed about 400 meters too far east when a decent map
was finally found next day

still what is 400 meters among humpbacks on the wing

for a change of pace we drove up to red bay labrador on friday where the
coastal road presently ends

a snowmobile trail does run north from there to cartright & they are
currently blasting an all weather road alongside it while coastal freighters
will take you beyond to nain but for coasting the atlantic seaboard by road
& bridge & ferry in north america red bay is the northern extremity

so with our hood ornament we kissed the barricade at the end of the road

for the southern end of this kiss you would have to go all the way to maria
chiquita panama i think

a third try at crnfpqs or whatever you call it on saturday netted us at
least a class c visit & photo & possibly even a class b but we could find no
demarcation of the quebec labrador boundary anywhere & we were frankly just
winging it from the map & some distant landmarks & tower alignments alone

countless whales including potheads blowing & puffins a whole breeding
colony all at distant range

but the interenet & fast food are pretty hard to find in the labrador
straits barefoot upon the multicolored mosses & cloudberries & tuckamore
spruce canopy
