Hello everybody,
in order to reach a conclusion on the group's
"conquest" of int'l tripoints - requested by Mike -
here's my personal record:
Tp's visited in Europe:
1- Belgium-Germany-Netherlands  near Aachen-
      pix on my site
2- Belgium-Germany-Luxembourg  confluence of
river Our and creek "Ribbach" : pix on my site
3- France-Germany-Switzerland in Rhine-river
N of Basel. Pix on my site.
4- Austria-Hungary-Slovakia appr. 50 km E of Vienna:
      pix on my site.
5- Austria-Hungary-Slovenia near Tauka/Austria:
I remember visiting this very lonely place back in
1962 (when living in Graz): the very tp is marked
by a monument similar to the Austr-Hung-Slovak.
tp. Unfortunately, at that time I couldn't afford a
camera... this tp will most certainly become a
target on next year's GCEBE ! It's a very remote
place, accessible on a track, from Tauka, about
      1 hour's walk along the Sloven.-Austr. border...
(back in 1962 the Yugoslav border: no fences
along the Yugosl. border, but Hungary "protected"
itself against capitalism and imperialism by fence!!)
6- Belgium-France-Luxembourg: a few km north of the
French town of Longwy_: quite a sad place, lots
of industry: the tp is very close to the French
custom house (abandoned today because of the
Schengen agreement), the area looks messy - I
couldn't locate the actual tp due to lack of time...
7- Austria-Germany-Switzerland: as you probably know,
this must be the only Europ. tp yet undefined...!
Somewhere in the waters of Lake Constance...

The only tp visited outside Europe:
8- Argentine-Brasil-Paraguay: also to be seen on my site.

May I take the opportunity to wish all members of Boundary
Point the very best for the New Year - may your wishes come
true...!
Btw: I'll soon be back with news about next year's GCEBE !!!
All the best - I'll be celebrating New Year's Eve in Vienna in
the Town Hall: big party, lots of booze, music and dance:
but don't worry: my mum will take care of me...!)
All the best - see you(?!) in 2001 !
Peter
