8:33am, Christmas morning.
I am gazing out the kitchen window in a southerly direction.  A BC Ferry cuts across Howe Sound.  Rain is falling, heavily.  It is darker than normal...  but without seeing the actual sun unmasked, it is hard to tell just how much coverage there is.  I believe it is in the order of 40%.

And now, it is brightening.  Though that could be the glow from the Christmas tree and the shiny present beneath.

Ho ho ho!

thanx  man

glad for the extra company too

i think everyone else must be out of town

actually i was going to try to wake you up at 7 tomorrow just to find out
if you could see any of the ecliptic sunrise there
but it looks like you may be socked in

do give a wag if you notice anything different tho
or any sign or wonder at all

it might even be fun & appreciated if anyone who can see anything would
pass their impressions  if not the passage itself  along to the others

looking forward to more tomorrow in any case
